Houston Japan Festival 2016 - Day 2

Day 2 of the Japan Festival. I think the rain gods were looking down from on high because it looked like it was going to rain, and a few times it drizzled. But it never really opened up until a few hours after the festival closed. I'm glad the rain held off because the cosplay contest was today and I really didn't want to miss out on that.

Despite the weather things did turn out well in the end and overall I had a good time.

See, I took a picture today! ;)

Jump Jump Jump Jump!

Cosplayers everywhere! Someday I'll try it, someday.

So can I call these three the Three Linkateers?

Coo coo!

More Fair Tail. I didn't see any Grey though.

BIRD!!!!

I will come by later when they finish expanding the garden. I can't wait to see how it comes out.

Women Powered Shrine.

These two were at AM for the cosplay contest, you can see their pictures on my AM Day 2 coverage.

I'm glad the martial arts stage made a comeback. They were kinda missing for a few years.

Respect the sword, those things are sharp.

Off with it's head! They should have wrapped the mats in a Mami Dakimakura.

Those poor mats never stood a chance. In all seriousness very glad to see this again.

It's that time again....

Last year's winner. Supergirl! I have yet to watch the TV show.

Madoka is always a fan favorite.

In the name of Atlantis....sorry wrong series.

It's a me! Mario!

He has fire fingers....not those kind of fingers!

Paddy Cake Paddy Cake....

Attack on Titan Waluiji, talk about originality.

It's Natsu!

Cuteness overload is over 9000.

It's Chii again! Yay!

Now for the awards.

Diablo Cosplayers win! They were one of my early favorites. Just awesome work.

I got you this time! Hah!

Some Taiko to finish off the Festival.

Thus ends another Houston Japan Festival. Other than the weather being an issue it was another great year. My only regret was not getting any kind of program like I normally do. I've collected a bunch of them and missed out this year. Oh well. See ya next year!
